Softball (5/24/13) Tysinger Named to Softball All-America Squad
SALISBURY, NC -- Catawba freshman pitcher Carley Tysinger (Lexington, NC/C. Davidson HS) has been named a third team Daktronic, Inc., All-American. She becomes the first Catawba softball player to earn All-America status in NCAA Division II competition.

Baseball (5/20/13) Dula Heads List of Baseball All-Region Selections
Chris Dula (Troutman, NC/S. Iredell HS) headlined the list of Catawba’s all-region baseball selections as the junior was named the Daktronics Southeast Region Player of the Year as voted on by the region’s sports information directors. The Catawba Indians had four players honored on teams from Daktronics, the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) and the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA).

Softball (5/13/13) Tysinger Named Daktronics Softball Region Pitcher of the Year 
Catawba College freshman Carley Tysinger (Lexington, NC/C. Davidson HS) has been voted the Daktronics NCAA II Southeast Region Softball Pitcher of the Year by the region’s Sports Information Directors. Tysinger was also an all-region first time selection from Daktronics and was named second team all-region by the NFCA.

Lacrosse (M) (5/4/13) Men's Lacrosse Closes Out 12-13 Athletic Season With Loss to Belmont Abbey 
SALISBURY, NC -- Belmont Abbey used a big second quarter to pull away from host Catawba as the Crusaders posted a 20-13 win in men's lacrosse action on Saturday night at Shuford Stadium. Belmont Abbey improves to 11-5, while the Catawba Indians end their season at 9-8.

Baseball (5/2/13) Zubillaga Earns Baseball Academic All-District Honors 
McLEAN, VA – Catawba second baseman, Julio Zubillaga (China Grove, NC/Carson HS), has been named to the 2013 Capital One Division II Academic All-District Baseball Team as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on Thursday. Those honored will advance to the Academic All-America Ballot.
