Baseball (2/8/10) Baseball Takes Two From California,PA; Moore Reaches Base In 11 Of 12 At Bats  SALISBURY, NC -- Catawba swept a baseball doubleheader from visiting California, PA, on Monday at Newman Park. The Catawba Indians took the opener 6-5 and claimed an 11-4 victory in the nightcap. Catawba, ranked 17th in NCAA II, improves to 3-0, while the Vulcans fall to 0-2.
 | Basketball (M) (2/6/10) Baker Earns 300th Win as Men's Basketball Takes Down Tusculum SALISBURY, NC -- Senior Antonio Houston (Charlotte, NC/E. Mecklenburg HS) came up two points shy of 2,000 career points, but his 25 was enough to lift host Catawba to a 78-65 win over Tusculum in South Atlantic Conference men’s basketball action on Saturday afternoon at Goodman Gym. The win gave Catawba Coach Jim Baker his 300th career win, all at Catawba, and improved the Indians to 14-7 overall and 7-3 in the SAC. The Pioneers fell to 12-10 and 6-5.
| Basketball (W) (2/6/10) Women's Basketball Stumbles Against Tusculum SALISBURY, NC -- Tusculum’s Jasmine Gunn (Nashville, TN) posted a double-double with 24 points and 11 assists as the Pioneers downed host Catawba 80-56 in South Atlantic Conference women’s basketball action on Saturday afternoon at Goodman Gym. Tusculum wins for the fifth straight time and improves to 14-7 overall and 7-4 in the SAC. The Catawba Indians fall to 13-8 and 6-4.
| Cheerleading (2/5/10) Cheerleading Tryout Set for April 17, 2010 The Catawba College cheerleading squad will hold an open tryout for all new and returning students on Saturday, April 17 at 2:00pm. Anyone interested in trying out for the squad should meet new coach Katie Osteen in the Goodman Gym lobby at that time.
| Baseball (2/4/10) Baseball Grabs Season-Opening Win Over Pfeiffer SALISBURY, NC -- Catawba opened its 2010 baseball season with a 10-6 win over visiting Pfeiffer on Thursday afternoon at Newman Park. Josh Hohn (Greensboro, NC/S. Guilford HS/N. Greenville) hit a three-run homer, while Wade Moore (Salisbury, NC/W. Rowan HS/NC State) and Cameron White (Columbia, SC/Ridge View HS) had clutch two-run doubles in the eighth to lift the Catawba Indians to the win.
