Greg Brown and Robbie Cowie Earn All-SAC Honors

Senior right-hander Greg Brown leads the conference in innings pitched at just under 80 on the year (79.2 IP). He bolsters a 2.94 ERA (7th in the SAC) and has recorded 83 strikeouts (5th in the SAC). He also won SAC Pitcher of the Week as well as the NCBWA Southeast Region Pitcher of the Week back on March 29th for his complete-game performance against Lenoir-Rhyne. Brown tossed ten innings with ten punch outs, surrendered just one run on three hits, and allowed just three free passes in a 2-1 win over the ranked Bears on March 25th. This is Brown's second time making the All-SAC list as he earned second team honors last year.

Also making the all-conference list in 2022 is closer Robbie Cowie. Cowie leads the conference and is tied for 5th in Division II in saves this season with nine so far on the year. The right-hander has made 23 appearances and has pitched the second most innings out of DII's top-ten pitchers in saves (35.2 IP). The Lincolnton, North Carolina native garners a 2.06 ERA with 33 strikeouts and has allowed just eight earned runs. Cowie is currently 4th all-time in Catawba College baseball history in career saves as he also makes his second straight appearance on the all-conference list.
