Dorr Becomes First Catawba Women's Lacrosse Player Named IWLCA All-Region
The Lady Indians' goalkeeper made her mark on the program during her four-year career, and she was one of the nation's toughest goalies to score on this season. Dorr led all of Division II in save percentage at 54.2 percent, and she also ranked within the top-ten in four, yes four, other statistical categories at the end of the regular season. She finished second in DII in ground balls per game (5.0), third in the country in total saves (212), seventh in saves per game, and ninth in caused turnovers per game.
Dorr finished this season with 212 saves, the most in a single season in program history. She also had 85 ground balls for an average of five per game which both are new program records for the most in a single season. On top of that, she caused 41 turnovers which broke yet another single-season program mark.
The Chesapeake Beach, Maryland product will go down as the most decorated goalkeeper in Catawba College women's lacrosse history. She owns the career record for save percentage at .499 in her four-year career, and she ranks first in program history in save average with just over 12 saves per game. Dorr also ranks second all-time in career ground balls (180), second in career caused turnovers (106), second in career saves (555), and fourth in goals allowed average.
