Gilewala nets two goals as Men's Soccer tops WVW 4-1

SALISBURY, NC- Junior Zay-Zay Gilewala (Monrovia, LIBERIA) scored two goals and added an assist as Catawba rallied to defeat West Virginia Wesleyan 4-1 in men’s soccer action on Saturday night at Frock Field. The Indians improve to 3-1, while the Bobcats fall to 0-3-1. Joseph Burkland (Wheeling, WV) put the Bobcats on top in the 11th minute, heading home a corner kick from Stephen Fielding (Brighton, ENGLAND). Gilewala would score the equalizer in the 25th minute and the teams went to half deadlocked at 1-1. Nathan Zuzga (Troy, MI) put Catawba up for good, taking a pass from Ryan Frommel (Houston, TX) just under four minutes into the final. Gilewala followed in the 53rd minute with his second of the night, from freshman Aaron Castaneda (San Antonio, TX), then assisted on the final goal from Gareth Turnbull (Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND).
