Men's Soccer Conquer King

BRISTOL, TN -- Catawba College overcame an early 1-0 deficit to defeat host King College 2-1 in men's soccer action on Wednesday afternoon. The win ups the Tribe's mark to 2-1, while King falls to 1-4. The Tornados, who recently upset NAIA #3-ranked Mobile, wasted little time in taking the lead. Just three minutes into the match Aaron George scored off a cross from Noel Vere to grab a 1-0 edge. Catawba would equalize at the 15 minute mark as sophomore Brennan Regner (Mebane, NC) scored off an assist from Ross Hudgins (Poquoson, VA). Senior Mike Delabar (St. Louis, MO) would give the Tribe the lead with a penalty kick just three minutes into the second half. It was the third goal in the last two games for Delabar, who led Catawba with eight goals last season. David Durham (Oak Ridge, TN) made 10 stops to get the win in goal.
