Women's Golf takes fourth at Watson Inv.

PACE, FL -- Catawba finished fourth among eight teams at the Bubba Watson Women’s Golf Invitational which concluded on Tuesday. The event was hosted by West Florida at the 5,930-yard, par-74 Stonebrook Golf Club. Individually, senior Paige Haverty (Greenville, NC) finished runner-up to Florida State’s Kayla Shaul. Florida State took the team title with a two-day total of 619. Catawba had The Lady Indians finished at 656. West Florida (626) was second and Northwood (632) took third. Haverty was the co-leader, tied with Lisa Westman, of McNeese State University, after each posted a three-under round of 71. Haverty, who finished on 148, had a 77 in the final round, while Shaul posted back-to-back rounds of 73 to win by two shots. WATSON INVITATIONAL TEAM RESULTS 1. Florida State 308-311=619 2.
