Zuzga leads Men's Soccer past #16 PC 1-0

SALISBURY, NC -- -Junior Nathan Zuzga (Troy, MI) scored with just over four minutes remaining to lead Catawba College to a 1-0 shutout over the 16th-ranked Presbyterian Blue Hose in South Atlantic Conference men’s soccer action Saturday night at Frock Field. With the win the Indians improve to 9-3-1 overall, 4-2 in the SAC. PC falls to 9-4-1 and 1-3. In a scoreless first half, the Blue Hose dominated 8-2 in shots. Both teams had quality chances, but neither could find the back of the net. PC’s Brandon Tucker (Englewood, CO) took a penalty kick two and a half minutes into the second half, but clanked it off the right post and out of bounds In the 86 minute, Zay-Zay Gilewala (Monrovia, LIBERIA) had a two-on-one with Zuzga, who fired into the lower left corner of the goal for his seventh of the year. Bryan Padgett (Greenville, SC) led the Blue Hose with five shots on goal. Dan Fitzgerald (Seaford, DE) made two saves for the win.
