#15 Men's Soccer posts 3-0 shutout over visiting Alderson-Broaddus

SALISBURY, NC – Catawba College, ranked #15 in NCAA II, defeated visiting Alderson-Broaddus 3-0 in non-conference men’s soccer action on Wednesday night at Frock Field. . The Indians improve to 12-3-1 with the win while the Battlers fall to 8-9. Nathan Zuzga (Troy, MI) put the Indians on the board in the 20th minute as Nathan Brown (Huntersville, NC) sent a cross to Zuzga for the goal. Just before the break, Justin Weimerskirk (St. Petersburg, FL) took a deflected shot from Garth McCormack (Charlotte, NC) finding the back of the net for the first time this season. In the second half of play David Bloom (Marietta, GA) tallied his first of the year from a failed clearing attempt on the goal mouth in the 54th minute. Dan Fitzgerald (Seaford, DE) had an easy night not having to stop a single shot as Alderson-Broaddus only managed five on the night. David Harvey (Glascow, SCOTLAND) made seven stops for the Battlers.
