Darnell named to Football Academic All-District squad

BRISTOL, CT -- Catawba College junior punter Cory Darnell (Rural Hall, NC) has been named to the 2006 ESPN The Magazine District III All-Academic Football Team. Darnell was named to the first team and will advance to the national ballot. Darnell has averaged 33.1 yards over 32 punts this season. Nine of his punts have been downed inside the opponent 20-yard line. #####
