Men's Soccer Suffers 2-0 Loss at WV Wesleyan
BUCKHANNON, WV -- Catawba dropped a 2-0 decision to host West Virginia Wesleyan in men’s soccer action on Friday night at Wood Street Field. The Bobcats improve to 2-3 with the victory, while the Catawba Indians fall to 1-3.
After a scoreless first half, Wesleyan took the lead seven minutes into the final period on a goal by Brandon Chagnard. Chagnard would help ice the game in the 77th minutes as he assisted on a goal by Marc Ferrell.
Catawba was out-shot 13-5 and gave up seven corner kicks, while earning just one. Tyler Held (Virginia Beach, VA/Kellam HS) went the distance in goal for Catawba and had a pair of saves.
