Women's Tennis falls 5-4 to Winston Salem State

SALISBURY, NC -- The Catawba women’s tennis team was defeated by Winston Salem State 5-4 on Tuesday afternoon at the Johnson Tennis Center.  The women fall to 7-7 on the season while the Lady Rams improve to 4-1.

In doubles play the Catawba Lady Indians dropped the first two flights by scores of 8-2 and 8-3.  Maggie McKee (Mount Airy, NC/Mount Airy HS) and Olivia Myers (Lexington, NC/W. Davidson HS) paired up to pick up the final doubles match 8-4.  Steffi Cook (Alpharetta, GA/Milton HS), Ally Prior (Raleigh, NC/Wakefield HS), and Myers each tallied wins in singles action.
