Men's Soccer to Open Home Season With White Out Event

The Catawba College Men's Soccer Team is hosting its second annual "White Out at the Frock" on Saturday, September 3rd as the Indians play host to Conference Carolinas foe Mount Olive College at 7:00 p.m.  The 2011 home opener is a rematch of a 1-0 win for the Indians last year in Mount Olive, NC, and is the first home sporting event for Catawba for the 2011-12 year.

"This is a great opportunity to give back to all the fans that have been so loyal to Catawba College Men's Soccer over the years, and a chance to invite the new students out to our games and introduce them to our program," said third year Head Coach Liam Farrell.  "We want to create one of the best atmospheres in this region for college soccer and this our way of showing appreciation in hopes that everyone will return to each game."
Courtesy of Student Affairs, the first 100 fans will receive free "Nike Catawba Soccer White Out" t-shirts.  Everyone is encouraged to wear white to the game.  All FC Carolina Alliance Players will be admitted for free wearing there White Uniforms.
Tailgating is encouraged and will begin at 5:00 p.m.  The gates will open at 6:15 p.m., which is when the t-shirts will be distributed.  Anyone following @catawbasoccer on twitter will get a chance to win a t-shirt in advance in the days leading up to kickoff by meeting a member of the coaching staff on campus by showing them the tweet.
The Catawba Men's Soccer team travel to Division I, Appalachian State University on September 1st for their first regular season game of 2011 at 7:00 p.m.
