Queens went on top just before the half.  Oskar Hjerne Sundbaum (Froson, SWEDEN) sent a long free kick from 40 yards into the box that Gersi Cilingiri (Berat, ALBANIA) headed in from the six with just over a minute left in the opening period.

Catawba equalized in the 57th minute has Carson Smith (Mooresville, NC/Mooresville HS) headed home a cross to the back post from Valentin Nava (Salisbury, NC/Carson HS) from just in front of the goal mouth.  Ten minutes later, Jeremy Chambers (Princeton, WV) slid a pass up the middle that Guerra raced onto then dribbled past the goalkeeper before firing into the empty net from 10 yards out.

The Royals held a 12-6 edge in shots and took eight corners to three for Catawba.  Evan Harvey (Apex, NC/Apex HS) played nearly 83 minutes in goal for the Indians and recorded three saves.  Frankie Cardelle (Salisbury, NC/Salisbury HS/NC Central) had one save.  John Rush (Jacksonville, FL) made one save on two Catawba shots on goal.
