Haverty earns medallist honors in Women's Golf event

FORT MILL, SC – Catawba College freshman Paige Haverty (Greenville, SC) claimed top honors at the Top-flight/Rafferty’s Intercollegiate women’s golf tournament which was completed on Monday afternoon. As a team, the Lady Indians finished seventh out of 10 teams in the tournament held at the 5,915-yard, Par-71 Regent Park Golf Club. Haverty equaled her career-best with an opening round of 76 and followed that up with a 77 to win by five shots over Anderson’s Kathryn Adkins. The total of 153 sets a new school record for a two-day tournament, bettering the mark of 154 by Kristen Kyle (Greer, SC) at the Lady Indian Invitational earlier this year.
