Women's Tennis Moves to 2-0 With Win at JC Smith

CHARLOTTE, NC -- Catawba topped host Johnson C. Smith 8-1 in women’s tennis action on Thursday afternoon at the Coleman/Cuthbertson Courts.  Freshman Liz Renteria (Mirmar, FL/Archbishop McCarthy HS) and sophomore Sloan Kessler (Onalaska, WI/La Crosse Aquinas) each won in singles and teamed for a doubles win for the Catawba Indians.

Catawba won two of three doubles matches then swept the single, dropping only one set.  Renteria rallied from a set down to win at #1.  Olivia Myers (Lexington, NC/W. Davidson HS) won at #6 without losing a game for the second straight match.
