Holmberg Named Bluegrass Mountain Male Swimmer of the Week

Catawba's Sebasitan Holmberg (Akersberga, SWEDEN/Skolan) and Fairmont State's Kathryn Saurborn have been named this week's Blugrass Mountain Conference Swimmers of the Week.  It was announced on Monday.

Holmberg set three school records in Catawba's meet with East Carolina and Limestone on Friday.  The freshman set a new standard in the 100 back with his leadoff leg of 51.23 in the 400 medley relay.  He set a record in the 200 IM with a time of 1:54.25 and in the 200 back with a time of 1:54.76.

Saurborn won four individual events at the Fairmont State Invitational.  She took first in the 50 free (24.06), 100 free (52.42), 100 fly (59.46) and the 200IM (2:15.48).  All four were invitational records.  The 100 free and 100 fly were pool records and 50 free and 100 free were NCAA B-cuts.
