Football Announces 2013 Schedule

Catawba College has released its 2013 football schedule, the first season under new head coach, Curtis Walker.  Of the 11 games on the schedule, six will be home games at Shuford Stadium and Kirkland Field.  One of the away games is only a little over a mile from campus, the Mayor’s Cup Game at Livingstone, so the Indians will stay in town for seven of the 11 games.

No new teams are on the schedule for the upcoming season, just a reverse of home and away sites from 2012.  The South Atlantic Conference has reshuffled the league rotation, but Catawba will still open league play with Newberry in week three.  The season opens on Sept. 7 at home against West Liberty and concludes at home on Nov. 16 against Lenoir-Rhyne.
