Football Practice Report: Day 2
Catawba resumed football drills this morning in what Coach Curtis Walked called a beautiful 82 degree day morning practice. The team worked on all facets of the game in both individual and team settings.
“We were able to concentrate on our three important phases – offense, defense and special teams,” continued Walker. “Several players stood out with big plays made throughout practice. Our quarterbacks were efficient and the defense continued to be relentless in pursuit of the football.”
Today’s practice started with a special teams circuit and was followed by group periods of offense and defense before individual position work. Practice also covered run emphasis drills and special teams drills. The practice finished up with 1-on-1 sessions, pass skelly and group and team work.
