NEWBERRY, SC -- The Lady Indian golf team placed second out of five teams at the Newberry College Women's Golf Invitational, which concluded Tuesday at the Newberry Country Club. Sophomore Kristen Kyle (Easley, SC) led Catawba, finishing second overall with a school-record two round total of 163. Wingate's Cris Mecherette claimed the individual medalist honor with a two-day total of 160. Kyle opened with an 81 on Monday and followed with an 82 in Tuesday's final round.
