SALISBURY, N.C. -- Wingate picked up a 3-0 win over host Catawba in South Atlantic Conference women’s soccer action on Wednesday at the Frock Soccer Complex. The Bulldogs improve to 9-4-1 overall and 7-2 in the SAC, while the Catawba Indians fall to 6-5-2 overall and 5-3-1 in the SAC.

The Bulldogs added a pair of goals in the final half, both from Colleen Zickert. The first came after defender Macy Franklin dribbled from her half to about 30 yards from goal and slid a pass to the left to Zickert. Zickert dribbled forward then cut back and put a curling shot just inside the right post.
The final goal came after a throw in as Zickert turned a took a shot from just outside the box from the left that was lofted into the back upper right corner. The shots were even at 12-all in the match. Thompson had seven saves for the Lady Indians. Alexis Jones made three saves for Wingate.
