Men's Soccer Set to Host LMU on Tuesday in SAC Tournament
The Catawba men’s soccer team will host Lincoln Memorial on Tuesday night in the opening round of the 2016 South Atlantic Conference Tournament. The teams just met on Friday with Catawba earning a 2-1 victory on Ian Orr’s goal with just a minute to play. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
The match is one of four opening round tournament games being held at the sites of the top four seeds. Admission for the conference event is $5 for adults; $3 for youth ages 6-12, seniors 55+ and active or retired military; $2 for college students with I.D. and free for ages five and under. Catawba students will be admitted free with a complimentary ticket provided by the Athletic Department.
Other first round matches feature Brevard at top-seeded Wingate, Mars Hill at #2-seed Tusculum and Coker at third-seeded Lenoir-Rhyne. Semifinals will be held at Manchester Meadows in Rock Hill, S.C. on Friday with the Championship in Rock Hill on Sunday.
