Barts' 71 Leaves Her Shot Off Lead at Battle at Old South
BLUFFTON, S.C. -- Catawba sophomore Kaley Barts is just a shot out of the lead heading into Sunday’s final round at the Battle at Old South Women’s Golf Tournament. UNC Pembroke is hosting the event at the 5,874-yard, par-72 Old South Golf Links.
Barts shot a career-low 71 in Saturday’s first round and her one-under-par total is a shot back of leader Corinne Grans-Wood of SCAD. Claire McMahon, of Barton, is also a shot off the pace.
Catawba is in 15th as a team after an opening score 317. SCAD leads the way with a 292 total. They lead Saint Leo by two shots.
