Football Moves to Sixth in Regional Poll
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind -- The Catawba football team slid up one spot to sixth in this week’s NCAA II Super Region Two rankings. Seven teams will qualify for the NCAA II playoffs from the region.
Super Region 2 consists of four conference, the South Atlantic (SAC), the Gulf South (GSC), the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) and the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA). Each conference that has a member school ranked in the top 10 of the region will receive a playoff berth.
Currently the conference bids would go to Wingate (SAC), West Alabama (GSC), Virginia State (CIAA) and Miles (SIAC). The field would be filled in by the remaining highest ranked teams. The poll is below with each team’s regional record.
