Setzer Doubles and Homers in Win Over Shippensburg
SALISBURY, N.C. - - Catawba took game two of the series against visiting Shippensburg on Saturday in Newman Park. The Catawba Indians defeated the Raiders 11-3 after posting a six run seventh inning. Catawba improves to 3-8, while Shippensburg drops to 0-2.
earned his first win of the season allowing no runs on five hits with six strikeouts over 3.2 innings. Clay Young started the game for the Indians pitching 5.1 innings, allowing no earned runs on two hits with seven strikeouts.

also had two hits for Catawba. Grant Hoover had three hits to lead the Raiders’ offense.
Shippensburg went on the board first as they scored three unearned runs in the top of the fifth. The Indians stuck back in the bottom of the sixth scoring two runs on a Setzer double to left center.
Catawba scored six runs in the seventh inning on a single by Kyle Smith, six walks, an error, and a sacrifice fly by Smith. The Indians added three more in the bottom of the eighth on a two-out three run home run by Setzer.
Catawba and Shippensburg will return to Newman Park on Sunday at noon to conclude the series.
