Women's Golf Eighth After Two Rounds of Sunoco Campbell Oil Classic
WALLACE, N.C. -- Catawba holds the eighth spot after the first two rounds of the Sunoco Campbell Oil Women’s Golf Tournament on Monday. UNC Pembroke is hosting the three-round event at the 5,812-yard, par-72 River Landing Golf Club.
The Catawba Indians posted a 659 score after its two rounds. Lenoir-Rhyne is the overall leader by four shots after a 621 total. Host UNCP and Carson-Newman are four shots back entering the final round on Tuesday.
Ainee O’Connor, of Lenoir-Rhyne, and UNC Pembroke’s Madison Corley share the lead after 36 holes with a score of 151. Lise Malherbe, of Lincoln Memorial, is a shot back.
Kaley Barts led Catawba with two rounds of 80. Her 160 total is in 20th place. Victoria Hedrick had a 163 and is 29th, while Madison Moore is on 166 and stands 33rd.
