Indians Drop 8-2 Decision at Queens
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Catawba was on the wrong side of an 8-2 decision against Queens at Dickson Field Wednesday night.
Sam Henneberg and Ryan Marro netted goals for the Indians, which fell to 1-4-0 overall and 0-2-0 in conference fixtures. The tallies are the first of the campaign for each player.
The Royals (5-1-0, 2-0-0) grabbed a 4-0 lead at the half, including the first two goals 19 seconds apart in the 21st-minute.
Henneberg scored unassisted a minute and four seconds into the final period, putting Catawba on the board. Trailing 6-1, Marro headed Henneberg’s corner past the keeper in the 72nd-minute.
Queens added two more goals in the final 13 minutes of play.
Lincoln Memorial visits Frock Field for a match-up with the Indians Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
