RITCHIE PACES MEN'S GOLF AT MONTEVALLO INTERCOLLEGIATE

CALERA, AL -- Catawba sophomore Marshall Ritchie (Concord, NC/Concord HS) led the Catawba men’s golf team at the Montevallo Intercollegiate as he finished in fifth place.  As a team, Catawba was sixth among seven teams at the event which was held at the 6,745-yard, par-71 Timberline Golf Club. 

Ritchie shot a career-low even par round to open the tournament and followed that with a 73 that left him on 144 for the fifth-place finish.  Conner Godsey, of Montevallo, fired a 136 total to take medalist honors.  Montevallo also won the team title with a score of 567.  Catawba had a 600 total.
