GAMPER POSTS TWO TOP 10 FINISHES AT NC INVITATIONAL SWIM MEET

GREENSBORO, NC -- The Catawba men’s swim team finished eighth among 11 teams at the 2012 All-NC Invitational this past weekend.  The men capped the meet with the third best swim in school history in the 400 free relay.  The team of Theo Zatterstrom (Stockholm, SEDEN/Fryshuset), Jevgenji Gamper (Vilnius, LITHUANIA) , Toomas Goutt (Saint Witz, FRANCE/de Vinci) and Magnu Lundgren (Alvsjo, SWEDEN/Varmdo) posted a time of 3:12.24.

Gamper had the best individual finishes at the meet for Catawba, posting a pair of top 10 swims.  He was eighth in the 100 breast (58.57) and ninth in the 200 breast (2:10.18).  Zatterstrom and Lundgren each had three top 20 finishes.  Zatterstrom in the 500 free (16th-4:50.68), 200 free (17th-1:45.79) and the 200 fly (20th-2:01.41) and Lundgren in the 50 free (15th-21.77), 100 fly (17th-53.56) and the 100 free (20th-48.45).
