GRIFFIS AND RITCHIE LEAD MEN'S GOLF AT STATE FARM INTERCOLLEGIATE

PINEVILLE, KY -- Catawba finished  seventh out of 15 teams at the State Farm Intercollegiate men's golf tournament which concluded on Tuesday at the 6,825-yard, par 72 Wasaito Winds Golf Club.  King College topped host Lincoln Memorial by two shots to win the team title.  King had a score of 582.  Catawba shot a score of 605 over the two rounds.

Zach Griffis (Winston-Salem, NC/Mt. Tabor HS) and Marshall Ritchie (Concord, NC/Concord HS) led Catawba as both shot a total of 150 to finish in 18th place.  Ritchie closed with a round of 70 on Tuesday which marked his career low.  Lincoln Memorial's Jamie Chapman earned medalist honors as he fired a 66 on Tuesday to rally for a three-shot win.
