Terry Leads Softball to Sweep of Ga. Southwestern in Season Openers

MILLEDGEVILLE, GA -- Catawba opened its softball season with a doubleheader sweep of Georgia Southwestern on Saturday night in the Georgia College Invitational at the Peeler Complex.  The Catawba Indians won by the scores of 7-4 and 8-0.  It was the opener for both schools.

Men's Basketball Hammered by #9 LMU

HARROGATE, TN -- Lincoln Memorial rolled to a 98-71 win over visiting Catawba in South Atlantic Conference men's basketball action on Saturday night at Turner Arena.  The ninth-ranked Railsplitters improve to 20-2 overall and 10-2 in the SAC, while the Catawba Indians fall to 5-15 and 2-10.

Women's Basketball Loses to LMU as Hicks and Long Set Milestones

HARROGATE, TN -- Catawba let a 19-point second-half lead slip away in dropping a 66-63 South Atlantic Conference decision to Lincoln Memorial University Saturday night at Turner Arena. The Lady Indians fall to 14-6 overall and 9-3 in the SAC, while the Railsplitters improve to 10-10 and 5-7.

SALISBURY, NC -- Belmont Abbey used four home runs to double-up host Catawba 14-7 in baseball action on Friday afternoon at Newman Park.  The Crusaders improve to 2-0, while the 18th-ranked Catawba Indians fall to 0-1.
