Brandon Auton is in his first year as Assistant Athletic Trainer at Catawba College. In addition to his medical coverage for the Women’s Volleyball team, he also oversees coverage for the Men’s and Women’s Swimming, and Baseball teams, which includes both home and away practice and game coverage. In addition to being a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC), Auton is also a Red Cross Instructor.

Auton comes to Catawba from the University of Nebraska where he earned a master’s degree in education administration and athletic administration in 2011. While with the Cornhuskers, he served as a graduate assistant with the baseball team. Auton earned a bachelor’s of science degree in athletic training from Western Carolina in 2009.

While at Western Carolina, Auton worked with the football and softball teams. He also interned with the Pittsburgh Pirates with the Hickory Crawdads and at their spring training facility in Bradenton, FL. Auton also spent the spring of 2009 as an intern at Vanderbilt University, working with men’s and women’s basketball and baseball.
