Six Grab Independent Women's Lacrosse Honors

NEWBERRY, SC -- Catawba had five players selected to the 2013 Division II Independent Women’s Lacrosse Second Team and two named to the All-Freshman Team.  Second team honors went to Meredith Jones (Barnesville, MD/St. John’s Catholic HS) and Chelsey Bauer (Tampa, FL/Plant HS) at attack, Ebony Mills (Harrison, ME/Oxford Hills HS/Mount Ida) at midfield, Jillian O’Connor (Rochester, NY/Irondequoit HS/Monroe CC) at defender and Bethany Davis (Salisbury, MD/Parkside HS) at goalie.  Freshman honors went to Davis and Alyssa Corace (Mahopac, NY/Mahopac HS).

Women's Lacrosse Comes Up Just Short Against Erskine

SALISBURY, NC -- Erskine scored four goals in the final 12 minutes to pull out a 13-10 win over host Catawba in women’s lacrosse action on Saturday afternoon at Shuford Stadium.  The Flying Fleet improve to 6-11, while the Catawba Indians end their second season of competition at 5-10.

Jones Nets Six Goals as Women's Lacrosse Tops Young Harris

YOUNG HARRIS, GA -- Catawba got six goals from Meredith Jones (Barnesville, MD/St. John's Catholic HS) in a 17-10 win over host Young Harris in women’s lacrosse action on Saturday afternoon at the YHC Lacrosse Field.  The Catawba Indians improve to 5-9, while the Mountain Lions fall to 1-15.

Women's Lacrosse Falls to Lenoir-Rhyne

SALISBURY, NC -- Lenoir-Rhyne got four goals from Kirsten Smith (Dunkirk, MD) and defeated host Catawba 18-5 in women’s lacrosse action on Wednesday night at Shuford Stadium.  The Bears even their record at 5-5, while the Catawba Indians fall to 4-9.
